Outbound telesales is an effective method to reach customers that aren’t being serviced through conventional sales channels. Simply put, a sales person armed with a phone can touch 25-30 customers per day in a highly controlled environment. Factor in the availability of web conferencing tools and it’s quickly understood that face to face meetings, although ideal, aren’t as necessary as they once were.
I help build outbound telesales programs for clients by reviewing their customer database for inactive and active accounts and creating scripts for their outbound team to put into action. As a team, we build simple call strategies to engage and activate target accounts and leverage the client’s existing marketing collateral and CRM software in the selling process. When necessary, I’ll advise the client on developing more effective marketing collateral to assist their outbound telesales activities.
An outbound telesales channel also provides an entry level position for aspiring sales professionals allowing my clients [c1] to create a career path while simultaneously building the channel.
